Youth Cross Country Leagues in the East Bay

Ages: 8U session (athletes not turning 9 in 2026) and Regular Session (mixed ages, 7 and older). Race distances: 8U 2k, 9–12 3k, 13–14 4k, 15–18 5k.
When: Season starts the week of August 25. Regular season runs to November 2. Championship season runs through December 15 and ends at the National Junior Olympics. 8U: Session 1 8/26–9/28, Session 2 9/29–11/02. The page gives no year on these dates, but it refers to the 2026 season (scholarship deadline Aug 9, 2026). Home-page schedule shows meets through 11/15. Meets are on Sundays throughout Northern California.
Sign-ups: Via https://www.oaklandcubs.com/register. Regular season $650; full season $875 (full-season price only until Aug 15). 8U: $300 per session or $550 full season. Plus $175 uniform kit and USATF membership. The 2026 XC scholarship deadline was Aug 9, 2026.
